Cumberland County's NEW Youth Career Center (YCC) offers support & resources to county youth aged 16-24 who aim to achieve their educational and career goals. The YCC team is comprised of experienced, dedicated, and passionate professionals, who are here to help young people create a path forward. 

Whether you left school without graduating and want to obtain your High School Diploma, or already have your diploma but aren't sure what to do next, our new Youth Career Center has a lot to offer you.

Cumberland County YCC offers a dynamic range or services including:

• Academic & educational support while preparing to obtain your NJ High School Diploma.
• Career exploration (find out what types of occupations best fit your interests and strengths through individual assessments and guest speaker workshops).
• Job readiness training (Job-seeking skills ( job search techniques, creating a resume, interviewing skills; Soft skills training (team building, problem solving & communication skills); and Professional Skills (time management, work ethics, how to dress for your job).
• Paid "work experience" opportunities (gain on-the-job training through paid work experience placements within the community).
• Digital literacy training (learn about your digital footprint, how to scrub your social media, using technology in your job search, and more).
• Financial literacy training (learn about the Cost of Living, how to create a budget & how to manage your money). 
• Assistance in obtaining industry-recognized credentials (linkage to Occupational Skills Training opportunities).
• Job placement assistance (help finding employment).
• Community connections & referrals to services (learn about valuable resources within your community, as well as when and how to ask for assistance). 
• Supportive services (assistance with transportation to the Youth Career Center and so much more).
• Participation Incentives (program offers various incentives* for successful achievement of specific milestones outlined in each participant's individual goal plan).

*Note: Not all participants will receive all incentives; incentives are based on achievement of individual goal attainment, measurable outcomes, and program requirements.
