Onyx Residential Health Care Facility is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and strives to provide safe and affordable housing for adults with mental illness.  Onyx caters to adult ambulatory residents who are not in need of skilled nursing care, but who need some oversight and assistance with their day-to-day affairs.  Most Onyx residents are able to perform activities of daily living with minimal assistance from our caring staff, who are available on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Onyx staff are truly dedicated to the well-being of all of our residents and are encouraged by management to:

Empower our residents to be as independent as possible and to live up to their full potential

Help with management of all medical care including specialists in order to maintain optimal health

Assist with assessment of social and mental health needs in order to guide the residents to local services to serve their needs and interests

Onyx has a full commercial kitchen that provides nutritious filling meals that have been approved by a registered dietitian.  Each room at Onyx is maintained daily by our housekeeping staff.  Residents are also provided with laundry services, as well as assistance in obtaining clothing and other basic necessities.  Onyx RHCF offers housing to individuals who are private pay, SSA, SSI, and SSD recipients.   Onyx is proud to offer:
